Patch 1.3.4 Goes Live!
MartyWGW, Feb 25, 10 12:17 PM.

Across the battle field soldiers are arming themselves to deliver death and destruction to their hated enemies. Tension is high and spirits are even higher as fresh armaments from the stores of the Emperor Karl Franz and the vast hordes of Tchar'Zanek are distributed amongst the combatants.

Game Update 1.3.4 is coming to WAR bringing with it a myriad of powerful new weapons and a streamlined Scenario system designed to get you in the action faster than ever!

Highlight's include:

Scenario Currency
  • Scenario Currency is here! You will now earn Recruit, Scout, Soldier, and Officer Emblems for completing any Scenario match. All players who participated in the scenario, on both the winning and losing sides, will receive Emblems based on their realm's final score. Emblems convert upwards at a rate of 5:1 and can be broken down from Officer to Recruit. These Emblems may be redeemed within Altdorf's War Quarters or Inevitable City's Apex for fantastic new items! Additionally, Rank 40 players will also collect Insignias which are needed for the most powerful of these new items, and may be obtained though Scenario completions, Keep captures or Keep defenses, and successfully completing stages one and two of a contested city PQ.
New Scenario Structure
  • The Scenario system has been restructured! Player will now participate in an expanding pool of Scenarios across all tiers. Based on a combination of our metrics and the community’s feedback we have removed several Scenarios from the game and have structured the new system with only the best of the best! If you don’t see your favorite Scenario on the list, not to worry as Scenarios disabled will make a return as future Weekend Warfronts with their own exciting rewards. Please see the full details of these changes in the RvR section of the notes.
Tier 4 Campaign Changes
  • Players will now be faced with a difficult decision when a city enters Captured state. Beginning with 1.3.4 the Tier 4 RvR campaign will now reset when a Contested City enters the Captured state.  Players must now make a decision: Stay in the city and potentially capture the opposing realm's King, or take the battle back to the open field to prevent an all out assault on your own city?

THURSDAY NIGHT IS WAR NIGHT
MartyWGW, Nov 13, 09 11:50 AM.

THURSDAYS ARE FOR WARHAMMER ONLINE!

Many members do not wish to play every night, or cannot play every night, but would like to know that the guild will be active when they log on.  While we will continue to have a good presence every night of the week, we are going to make a special effort to play on Thursday nights.

So be there!

Welcome

Hail and well met Warriors and Guardians!

This old Wardog offers you a hearty welcome to the Home of the Warriors and Guardians of the Woods. Whether you are making your first trek into our Woods or you are an old friend returning from a long journey, you will find a spot by the fire in our Guild Hall.

The WGW is an online gaming guild. First formed in 1995 in SSI’s original massively multiplayer online Dungeons and Dragons game Neverwinter Nights, the Warriors and Guardians cut their teeth defending the Neverwinter Woods from such infamous Clans as the Mech, the Warriors of Hades, and the Ark. Since those early days, we have participated in many popular online games, such as Ultima Online, Asheron’s Call, City of Heroes, Dark Age of Camelot, and World of Warcraft. You can read more about the adventures that our ten year journey has brought us by following the history link.

The Dark Age of Camelot provided a good home for my Brothers and Sisters in Arms for five years. From Beta, right into the first days the game was open, the WGW played a prominent role in shaping the history of this game. Our first home was the Morgan La Fey server, where we went from being the third Guild to get its “colors” on that server to being one of the largest and strongest guilds on that server; the term Green Machine was coined to describe our four and five group zergs that would storm all over the Frontier, causing mayhem during our weekly Wardog nights. Later, we were mainly active on the Gareth classic server in Midgard, playing under the names Dogs of War (DoW) and WGW.

The Warriors and Guardians of the Woods bring an even mix of RvR/PvP and PvE style adventuring. This is tempered with our strong sense of Community:

“Let it be known that brave Warriors, good and true, have banded together to guard and cleanse the Woods of the forces of evil. Henceforth, they shall be known as the Warriors and Guardians of the Woods and shall serve their guild and cause with honor, loyalty, and courage.”

There in the opening lines of our Guild Charter you find what being in WGW is all about. It is this sense of Honor, Loyalty, and Courage that we now bring to the World of Warcraft, where we have made our home on the Stonemaul server and are fighting for the Alliance under the name "WGW." We have maintained an active and successful raiding force on Stonemaul, and have also provided a home for more casual players. We work hard to provide an enjoyable and family friendly environment for our members. Please follow the links to our policies and to our Guild Charter if you wish to learn more about how WGW is organized and governed.

More recently we have begun to look at our future again and the future of online gaming. We have time and again been able to land in a new Realm and quickly get our bearing and begin to build our Guild's foundations in that new Home. This is in large part due to our teamwork, community, and experience. These are valuable assets that we bring to any new realm we explore. Recently, we have begun to look at Mythic's next great online game, Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. There is no doubt that Mythic's long experience and proven experience in online gaming will make this the premier gaming experience in the coming years. It is here that we hope to once again play our role in shaping this new community.

Are you ready to join the Warriors and Guardians of the Woods in our Cause?

Wherever you hail from, whether it’s the icy forests of Midgard or the besieged cities of the Alliance, I invite you to follow the link to our message boards. There is a place where Honor, Fair Play, and Respect have a home, and that is the Guild Hall of the Warriors and Guardians of the Woods.

See You in the Woods,

Zezmo Wardog
